Profile

Yang Liu received her M.D. in Ophthalmology at Jilin University in China in 2003. In 2007, she obtained her Ph.D. from Yamaguchi University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan, studying corneal wound healing and inflammation. Following completion of her Ph.D., Yang Liu joined in Gerhardinger Laboratory at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, focusing on the role of inflammatory cytokines in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy.
