Friends of the institute

Schepens Eye Research Institute is fortunate to have a number of special friends committed to our mission.

For instance:

  • A trucker in Indiana who lost his vision has formed a special program called “Eyes on the Road” with the nation’s largest trucking website to increase awareness and increase funding for Institute research. 

  • A young girl has created and sells wristbands to increase funding for research on Stargardt’s disease, which afflicts her two cousins. 

  • A visionary philanthropist has built a committed group of volunteers in Florida promoting the importance of supporting vision research.
